Our Camberwell garden opens for the NGS this Sunday (7th September) 2-5:30pm

On this Sunday, from 2-5:30pm, our garden will be open for one afternoon only to raise money for the charities supported by the National Gardens Scheme

The Yellow Book says....

An exotic garden full of the exuberance of late summer inspired by travel in Southeast Asia. A jungle of big leafed plants, bold colours and shapes including bananas, dahlias and tetrapanax. Huge ‘secret’ garden gives the garden unexpected size with ponds, bee hives, sunken terrace, productive area and greenhouse of carnivorous plants. Featured on BBC Gardeners World and in the Independent. 24 Grove Park, Adm £3.50, chd free

Also available is:

- Lots of lots of cake
- Some plants for sale
- Camberwell honey from the bees in the garden

To find us we are at the Chadwick Road end of Grove Park, exact location is found here Driving should be relatively easy as there is lots of street parking, and we are about 10 mins walk from either Denmark Hill or Peckham Rye Rail stations. If you want to eat our favourite close by restaurants are Ganapati (Indian) you will need to book, Victoria Inn (pub food) however leave lots of room for cake!

UPDATE! Of course there are train problems on the day its self! trains to Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye seem to be up the spout. If so the best way to get here is to travel to either Vauxhall/Oval and then get a 185 bus which takes you all the way. You can also get a 40 or 176 from Elephant and Castle. For all these buses you can get off several stops after the one for Denmark Hill station at the Canning Pub/the stop after that. Good luck!

Come! you can also eat some of the nicest cake in Cambewell. full NGS and address details here

Some pictures to tempt you in....
